Davey and I headed up into New England on Sunday. The weather was absolutely beautiful for a drive. The hotel turned out to be as nice as the four stars promised (and thanks to priceline we paid a two star price for the room. Whoo hoo.) with a cushy, king-sized bed littered with pillows (which of course we used for sex that afternoon). For dinner, we took the rental car out in search of an Irish pub but couldn’t find it. We discovered that street signs are spotty in Providence and some of the streets take odd turns. It turned out that walking there would be more practical so we returned the car to the hotel and set out on foot. Good thing too, as we would never have spotted the pub from the car. I had boxty for the first time and we both had beers (Davey had bangers and mash). We shared some dessert and I had a Bailey’s coffee. I really should have passed on the dessert and coffee as I was completely stuffed afterwards. Urgh. We hung out in the hotel for a few hours, digesting. Next we hit a couple of clubs that were having goth nights. Both places had few people there, but one was more gothy whereas the other was more industrial so we headed back to the gothy place until it closed. Both were within walking distance of the hotel so we drank much (four drinks each) and stumbled back to the hotel around 1. I was giddy and intoxicated and ended up IMing MasterDoc (who wasn’t online) and chatting with D.S. for a bit. D.S. commented that, even drunk, I’m a better speller than he is. Guess that’s not a skill for the ol’ resume though. *grin*
Davey was feeling worked up so we had sex again, this was possibly the first time we’ve been truly drunk during sex. (Usually one of us is doing the driving so we stay pretty sober. We mostly drink in moderation.) I don’t think I had an orgasm, probably due to being all sorts of drunk. We went to sleep around 3 am.
Today, we went to a museum and wandered downtown a bit more. Tonight, a seafood dinner as Davey is insisting he gets lobster while we’re in Rhode Island. Tomorrow, we head home.

Glad to hear you had a good time in my great state of Rhode Island!
Drop me a line if you want, let me know the bars/restaurants/museums you visited. How was the lobster?

Hey, long time no hear. We had a great time, but it was all too short. Davey enjoyed his lobster but of course it wasn’t nearly as hearty as one would hope. I had some terrific blackened swordfish. Yum. We went to The Dark Lady and Club Hell for the bars, Museum of Work and Culture (in Woonsocket) and The Culinary Archives and Museum of Johnson and Wales for the museums. And Ri-Ra, Big Fish and the Inn at Johnson and Wales for the restaurants.
Woonsocket, huh? Guess who lives in Woonsocket, right up the road from the Museum of Work and Culture? ME! You probably parked in that circular parking lot, near downtown… remember that waterfall nearby (Woonsocket Falls)? If you go up that road (South Main Street), I live at the very end. Too funny! Woonsocket gets a bad rap, but I was born there and choose to live there. My grandparents/parents grew up just like described in the museum.
Ri-Ra is great (great pick up place), but I thought you got “bangers and mash” at Murphy’s in Providence. I guessed wrong!
